Dr B C S Rao is Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore where he has also served as a faculty member. For over four decades Dr. Rao was involved in teaching and research in the area of fluid mechanics and allied fields. He was principal of Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai and Director of Madha Engineering College, Chennai, in the recent years. He spent many years on visiting assignments at Universities in Germany and Canada, and at NASA-Lewis Research Centre, Cleveland, Ohio, USA
